What better thing to clothe our children in but wisdom. Wisdom is knowledge. God gave Solomon a discerning heart as that is what he asked for. God was pleased with Solomon, that he did not ask for riches, wealth or to help him overcome his enemies. Because of this, God gave him all the other things that he did not ask for. In order for the next generation to have wisdom, tell your stories to them and they will take it with them into the future and treasure it later. All of this will glorify God.

Look at Jesus life and the way he lived, He could have been a great and powerful leader, instead he lived a life of sacrifice to show us how we should live our lives, to help and serve others.
